A free consultation will be arranged at either your premises or ours. The ideas you have will be put forward, discussed and together we will develop these ideas. Reels in Motion will make suggestions along the way to better understand your video requirements.
Using the information gathered in the initial meeting, a written brief and quotation will be constructed, outlining the proposed project and expected costing. Once the proposal meets with your liking then the brief and quote are signed off.
We now begin to plan each shoot, file health and safety reports, script and storyboard if necessary as well as arrange appropriate dates, interviewees and locations for filming. We will also organize any specific requirements such as props, actors, effects etc.

With dates and times scheduled around your availability, production will begin. A representative from your organization is often useful as a point of reference i.e. arranging clearance, notifying necessary people etc.
A director will establish the shots required and a cameraman (plus a sound/lighting technician if needed) will perform the recording. If the footage is people-dependant e.g. company employees or school students then Reels in Motion endeavour to be discreet and cause as little disruption to the daily proceedings as possible.
On location we operate in a concise and accurate manner to manufacture the most out of each shoot we undertake. The fact that Reels in Motion use industry standard equipment means you can rest safe in the knowledge your film will look as professional as can be.

With the footage in the ‘can’ the editing will begin. The images will be logged and pieced together in an appropriate order. Depending on the brief; text, names, positions within your organization, a voiceover and a soundtrack will then be added. Graphics are also a consideration to give your film an added dimension. With our in-house ‘Apple Certified Pro’ the extra elements are truly mesmerizing.
So with the first draft complete it’s time to take a look. Making sure our clients are completely happy with their work is our main concern, so we therefore ensure a draft is seen before authoring a completed piece.
Once a film is considered ready for release a copy in an appropriate format will be produced e.g. DVD, web-download, web-streaming, VHS, 3G etc.
The Reels' team like to invlove our clients as much as possible in the production process - from initial creative meetings, right through to the disk design for DVD duplication. This enables us to create an end product which matches your initial aims and reflects your passion for the film.
Pre-production begins before even the first meeting - it begins with the initial spark of inspiration for the film. Whether that comes from the need to raise your company's profile and increase profits, or from hearing an emotional story.
Production is the stage when the magic happens! When all of the planning, storyboarding, and scripting turns into a reality. In truth, the production stage is often the shortest part of the process - it is also the most exciting, nerve racking, and enjoyable part.
Reels in Motion's Apple Certified Pro editors will transform your raw footage into a living, breathing, media form. Our post-production crew are vastly experienced in all forms of editing projects and we pride ourselves on our versatility - capable of everything from subtle, emotional story teling to hard hitting marketing messages.
