Michelin Pilot Super Sport Tyre Launch
Reels in Motion have been working with Michelin for 3 years on a variety of projects. Most recently we were approached by Michelin to cover the launch day of their new tyre range, Pilot Super Sport, which was filmed at the world famous Silverstone racetrack. We had to capture every aspect of the day; from Dry Handling tests, to Wet Grip Demonstrations and consumer reactions. To show the results of track tests we incorporated animated graphics with stylised shots of the action which resulted in a dynamic and informative sales video.
Stoke City Football Club - "Our Brand"
Stoke City FC approached Reels in Motion as they wanted to work with a company that produced to the highest standard. The brief was to portray the premier league club to the world, not an easy task. We met with all senior levels and discussed the key elements in delivering a film that brought the club to life, showed its potential and had the true ethos of the club at the core. What the club received was a high impact film that ticked all the boxes of what needed to be shown. Shot throughout the season at both pitch level and within corporate hospitality. The film came in on time, on budget and forms an integral part of the club’s marketing strategy.
Yell.com Recruitment Video
Yell.com needed to capture and produce a recruitment film in order to promote the organisation to potential new staff members. Working to a brief we shot a series of interviews with existing key team members at Yell.com UK Headquarters. We wished to produce a film that encompassed the Yell.com working environment and reflected the content that the employees spoke about. Reels’ editors combined the live motion footage with graphics and animation and kept the film short, snappy and engaging. The finished product sits within the Yell.com job’s website and is influential in attracting the best people in the country to the organisation.
Caudwell Children Charity Ball Film 2010
Reels in Motion have the pleasure of producing films for the Caudwell Children Annual ball year in year out. In 2010 we worked closely with the public relations team to deliver an insight into the lives of families that have sick and disabled children talking to the parents, grandparents and siblings. We all decided that we wanted a simplistic yet hard hitting film showing the audience the realisations of the day to day struggles that the families face. The film would be played just before the auction within the evening and we discussed a theme for the film, settling on 'what would you give'. The final film is simple but so very powerful and the Reels in Motion team was touched to be chosen for such a project. The film helped raise 1.7 Million for sick and disabled children in the UK.
Andrex - Mother's Day Photo Zone
Wanting to promote the value of a direct marketing campaign to the general public, Reels in Motion were hired to produce a video that would do just that. A photo of the kids with the Andrex puppy for mum for Mother’s Day was the premise of the campaign. Combining the cute children and puppy footage, that backs up Andrex’s corporate persona, with some customer feedback soundbites (and a few return-on-investment statistics), the video sums up exactly what the day was about. Andrex received a vibrant film that finely balanced the family fun element with the power of face-to-face marketing.
People Plus Recruitment Launch Video
Working alongside Marketing Professional Carl Jarvis, Reels in Motion were appointed as the preferred video provider to produce a business film for Carl’s clients. People Plus Recruitment were relocating and expanding into new offices and wanted to capture the buzz and excitement of the launch of their new premises. They wanted a video of the event and video testimonials of existing clients to be showcased online for prospectus clients, as well as improving their SEO ranking. The Reels in Motion film crew attended the launch and conducted the interviews with questions provided by Carl Jarvis. The guys at People Plus were delighted with the final video and it has been instrumental in gaining new clients.
Staffordshire University Staff Success Awards
Reels in Motion have worked with Staffordshire University for over 7 years producing a range of projects from Graduation DVDs to course specific information films. The Staff Success Awards is an event to celebrate the Staffs efforts and commitment to the University. Our brief was to produce a film that highlighted the event and could be placed on the University website to show all staff and associates just how highly the University values its staff. The film included interviews with the winners of the awards. Reels in Motion also produce nomination films of all the nominees for the same event.
Derby City Council Supporting People Awareness Film
The Supporting People division of Derby Council approached Reels in Motion for an initial meeting before any brief or concept had been formed. We sat with the council and discussed the best approach to their problems. We then helped them develop a structure, brief and suitable budget for the project before splitting the Supporting People films into four, each with a specific target audience. Every individual film had to be handled in a sensitive manner due to the subject matter. Filmed over several days in various locations over the city of Derby, we combined both interview material with additional cutaway footage. For the factual information which was necessary to be shown in the film, we adopted just simple text on black which we hope you agree is extremely effective.
Vet PLUS Promotional Video
Vet Plus’ main issues were time and resources. The company has some of the best clinical, modern manufacturing facilities in Europe. However getting the major clients to view them was proving difficult. The Reels in Motion team sat down with their marketing executive and discussed how a promotional film would take the company to the client rather than requiring the client to come to them. Working to a script provided by Vet PLUS, Reels in Motion set about planning the 2 day shoot at their UK head office. The finished product was a slick and highly informative 4 minute promotional film that Vet PLUS now utilises within promotion to new partners and clients.
Michelin Consumer Comments – (Brands Hatch)
Michelin commissioned Reels to capture consumer comments at one of their partners track days. RMA are the longest established track day organisers in the world and Michelin knew this would be an ideal place to hear what people, who were serious about tyres, really thought. We were tasked with capturing the hype and buzz of the day, but first and foremost delivering valuable feedback from Michelin (and non-Michelin) tyre users. Reels came through on both counts; providing the tyre giants with a wide variety of interviews and soundbites from professional racing drivers to the seriously rich, as well as encapsulating the glitz and glamour of a day at Brands Hatch surrounded by Ferraris and Lamborghinis.
Simon Dean Motor Services
Reels in Motion relished the chance to work with Simon Dean Motor services. Working with a modest budget but tons of enthusiasm; the team brought together a slick, friendly film that really portrays exactly the feel that Simon wanted. Simon knew that he was the best person to talk about his company and with professional guidance, reassurance and a few takes, comes across extremely well. The film has since been referred to by the FOXY Lady Drivers Club nationally and Simon couldn’t thank us enough.
Employee Profiles
Reels in Motion worked with Yell.com on a series of employee profiles for the recruitment team in a campaign to attract the right people to their organisation. Yell.com recognised that the biggest asset to their company and in fact any organisation were the people who work there. Reels in Motion produced sharp, stylish videos to help demonstrate what the Yell work environment felt like and what an amazing company it was to work for. Whether an organisation is trying to attract the right staff or they want to use their best asset i.e. their employees to attract new customers and gain new business, employee profiles are the best possible marketing tool to achieve this.
Knightstor Testimonial Video
Knightstor Archive Storage and Document Destruction approached Reels in Motion to help with their video production project as they knew they wanted to use video as a marketing tool for the company. They felt that document storage wasn’t ‘sexy’ enough and wanted to use video to show the important role their business plays in aiding businesses that require secure document storage. We adopted a testimonial style approach to the Knightstor film and let their clients talk about the quality of service and need for the Knightstor facility. We then intercut footage of the facilities and demonstrated how the services are used within a company. Reels in Motion even contributed to the video in front of the camera as well.
